Synopsis
During the webcast chairperson Fenna Heyning (Director of the Organization for Topclinical Hospitals (STZ) and Board member of the Linnean Initiative) talks to various speakers, including former Harvard Business School professor Richard Bohmer. From their own areas of expertise (clinical leadership, patient engagement, regional and nationwide cooperation, health care ethics; outcomes measurement) they talk about what uncertainties they have encountered since the COVID-19 outbreak. Uncertainties around the virus itself, as well as about the organization and delivery of corona-related and non corona-related care. Besides the uncertainties they had to deal with professionally, we also learn how they personally coped. What can we learn from them, both professionally as personally, about dealing with uncertainty in times when uncertainty seems to be the New Normal. A question that is becoming more and more relevant now that we are in the middle of a second COVID-19 wave.
